A rare find and well worth seeking out, amaranth oil is cold-pressed, unrefined and quietly remarkable.
Taste & character
The connoisseur’s choice of our range, and proudly not for everyone. Deeply earthy, with a swift nutty follow-through and a smooth, gentle texture. Tasters reach for curious comparisons, from woodland walks to old leather-bound books. A mid-gold pour with real presence. If you love oils with character, this is yours.
How it is made
Cold-pressed from a single seed variety, unrefined, and bottled in dark glass to keep the light out. We work in small batches, made to order rather than mass-produced, with no heat, no chemical solvents and no blending, just the hand of a maker in every bottle. Every batch is checked for quality, and the whole range is vegan, GMO-free and ISO 22000 certified.
In the kitchen
Mild enough to blend into dressings, dips and grain dishes without taking over. Best enjoyed cold or added after cooking, as it does not suit high heat. Read more about amaranth in our Journal.
What is naturally inside
Naturally contains squalene, a compound present in very few plant oils, along with vitamin E and unsaturated fats.
Storage
Keep somewhere cool and dark, away from heat and light, and use within 18 to 24 months. Reseal the bottle tightly between uses.
Allergen information
